Job Summary
The Faculty – Food & Beverage Service is responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training in food and beverage service, developing students’ professional skills, maintaining training facilities, and preparing students for internships and employment in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct theory and practical classes in Food & Beverage Service as per the approved syllabus and academic timetable.
- Train students in restaurant operations, table setup, service styles, menu knowledge, order taking, billing and guest handling.
- Provide practical instruction in banquet service, room service, bar operations, beverage service and event setup.
- Teach professional grooming, communication, etiquette, hygiene, safety and service standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching notes, presentations, practical demonstrations and assessment materials.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, practical journals, internal marks and student performance reports.
- Conduct assignments, examinations, practical assessments, viva voce and remedial classes.
- Maintain the training restaurant, bar equipment, glassware, crockery, cutlery, linen and departmental inventory.
- Ensure proper issue, usage, cleanliness and safe storage of departmental equipment and materials.
- Organise theme lunches, food festivals, banquets, workshops, industrial visits and guest lectures.
- Guide students in internships, placements, interviews, résumé preparation and hospitality career development.
- Maintain regular interaction with hotels and industry professionals for training and placement opportunities.
- Participate in admissions, examinations, inspections, accreditation work, institutional events and other duties assigned by management.
- Serve as a mentor and maintain student discipline, punctuality and professional behaviour.
- Continuously update subject knowledge according to current hospitality trends, technology and industry practices.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management from a recognised institution.
- Specialisation or strong practical knowledge in Food & Beverage Service.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel industry and/or teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in a reputed hotel, restaurant, banquet operation or hospitality institution is desirable.
- Knowledge of POS systems, restaurant operations, beverage service and banquet management is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Food & Beverage Service.
- Effective classroom teaching and practical demonstration skills.
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional grooming, discipline and guest-service orientation.
- Ability to mentor students and prepare them for industry employment.
- Competence in MS Office, digital teaching tools and academic documentation.
- Ability to organise practical sessions and manage departmental inventory.

Pay: ₹35,700.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
