We’re looking for:
We are seeking a Senior Field Bidding Associate to support sample pricing / cost
estimation for new work proposals for market research projects. The ideal candidate will
have:
- Experience supporting fast-paced and quick-turnaround market research
environment.
- Proven track record of executing tasks independently, and operating with
urgency, focus and discipline.
- Experience with reviewing market research bid documents, project
requirements, and client specifications to understand project scope and
deliverable.
- Familiarity with online panels, survey methodologies and sample feasibility
analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with
internal stakeholders, and internal team members at all levels.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFQs (Requests for Quotes) to
determine project scope, risks, and feasibility.
- Work closely and establish relationships with sample panel providers and
alternative sample sources to obtain competitive quotes and optimize pricing.
- Estimate respondent availability, incidence rates (IR), and completion rates (CR)
based on historical data (internal/external) and market trends.
- Liaise with project managers / operations team to ensure project feasibility aligns
with execution capabilities.
- Partner with sales and account managers to understand client requirements and
tailor bids accordingly.
- Provide strategic recommendations on pricing, methodologies, and research
design to improve win rates.
- Monitor bid performance, win/loss rates, and pricing trends to refine bidding
strategies.
- Maintain bid documentation, databases, and pricing models for future
reference.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the bidding workflow.
It’ll be helpful if you have:
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree.
- 4+ years of experience in market research, pricing, bidding, or project
management roles
- Experience with field management for market research projects – with a deep
understanding of sample composition, incidence rates and completion rates
- Knowledge of market research tools / survey online platforms (e.g., Decipher)
- Microsoft Excel skills required with VBA macro writing experience/knowledge a
plus
