Job Description. - Focus on building long-term, trust-based partnerships with kiranas and suppliers while guiding them into and through the platform. - Serve as the primary point of contact for new and early-stage vendors, ensuring their onboarding is smooth, transparent, and aligned with business goals. - Build and maintain strong relationships so vendors clearly understand expectations on pricing, service levels, and customer experience, and feel supported in meeting them. - Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance platform policies and vendor interests. - Comfort working with small retailers and local languages, plus understanding of marketplace operations, SLAs, and basic compliance. - Analytical mindset to interpret vendor metrics and propose practical, business-focused improvements to both vendors and internal teams. Abhar Tech is a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company. Responsibilities.
- Identify, pitch, and sign up potential vendors (kiranas, small brands, distributors) through field visits and calls, explaining the value proposition and commercial terms
- Understand each vendor’s capabilities (assortment, pricing, delivery radius, service quality) and match them with the app’s category and geography needs
- Coordinate with internal onboarding teams for document verification, marketplace account creation, and software access, then walk vendors through how to use the seller tools
- Set clear expectations on commissions, SLAs, returns, and catalog/content standards right at the start, reducing friction and later disputes.
- Regularly review vendor performance (fill rates, cancellations, delivery timeliness, ratings) and discuss action plans to improve sales and service quality
- Escalate and resolve issues across payments, returns, and logistics by coordinating with internal stakeholders while keeping the vendor informed
- Encourage self-onboarding and digital adoption where possible, while still acting as a relationship anchor for less tech-savvy kirana owners.
- Strong communication in local languages and English, high on-field comfort for meeting kiranas and explaining digital tools
- Target-driven mindset with experience in merchant onboarding, field sales, or account management for marketplaces, POS, or payment apps.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce operations (orders, returns, payments, GST) and ability to teach non-digital-first merchants.
