Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Safety Engineer (Civil) to support the implementation of health and safety standards at construction sites. The candidate will monitor site activities, identify hazards, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with company and statutory safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety inspections of construction activities and work areas.
- Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards at site.
- Ensure compliance with approved HSE procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Monitor safety during excavation, scaffolding, concreting, lifting, working at height, and other civil activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness programs for workers and supervisors.
- Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, goggles, and harnesses.
- Assist in preparing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and inspection checklists.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, incidents, and accidents to the senior safety team.
- Assist with accident/incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
- Check safety of scaffolds, ladders, barricades, excavation areas, access routes, and temporary structures.
- Monitor housekeeping and safe material storage at the project site.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers regarding safety requirements.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and training documentation.
- Participate in emergency drills and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Safety certification such as NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / Diploma in Industrial Safety will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices.
- Knowledge of civil construction activities and associated hazards.
- Good communication and observation skills.
- Ability to prepare basic safety reports and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively with workers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Willingness to work at construction/project sites.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
Preferred Experience
Freshers can apply. Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in construction safety/HSE will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
