Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tandoor Chef to prepare authentic tandoori dishes and Indian breads while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. The candidate should have experience operating a tandoor oven and preparing a variety of North Indian cuisines for villa guests and private events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook tandoori dishes such as kebabs, tikka, and grilled specialties.
- Make and bake Indian breads including naan, roti, kulcha, and paratha.
- Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables according to recipes.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of the tandoor oven.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and report stock requirements.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new tandoori dishes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or villa.
- Strong knowledge of Indian and tandoori cuisine.
- Ability to prepare a variety of tandoori breads and grilled dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary certification or hospitality training.
- Experience working in luxury villas, resorts, or fine-dining establishments.
- Knowledge of multiple Indian regional cuisines.
