Job Purpose
To handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at the office and other company sites/projects as required, ensuring safe and uninterrupted electrical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day electrical maintenance and repair work at the office and company premises.
- Attend to electrical breakdowns, faults, and emergencies and ensure timely rectification.
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, switches, sockets, lights, fans, MCBs, DBs, and other electrical fittings.
- Perform preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Inspect electrical panels, distribution boards, cables, connections, and related equipment.
- Identify electrical faults using appropriate testing tools and rectify them safely.
- Handle installation and shifting of electrical points, lighting fixtures, power connections, and equipment as required.
- Support electrical work during office renovation, new installations, shifting, and expansion activities.
- Visit and undertake electrical maintenance work at plant, project, warehouse, site, or other company locations as required.
- Coordinate with site teams, maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors for electrical-related work.
- Maintain basic records of electrical maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and materials used.
- Ensure proper use and care of electrical tools, equipment, and PPE.
- Follow all company electrical safety procedures, SOPs, and applicable safety standards.
- Ensure electrical work is carried out safely to minimize risks of short circuits, fire, electric shock, and equipment damage.
- Assist in any other electrical or maintenance-related work assigned by management.
Required Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification.
- Electrical certification/license will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as an Electrician.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, office, plant, warehouse, or project sites will be preferred.
- Candidates with multi-site maintenance experience will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of electrical wiring and installations.
- Knowledge of MCB, MCCB, DB, control panels, cables, switches, and electrical fittings.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults independently.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings/circuit diagrams.
- Good understanding of electrical safety practices.
- Willingness to travel to company sites/projects as required.
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- Good discipline, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
