Job Description – Civil Cost Estimation Engineer
The Civil Cost Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and project budgets for civil construction projects. The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to ensure competitive and technically accurate cost prsoposals while supporting project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost sheets.
- Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and bid documents.
- Conduct rate analysis for civil works and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
- Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project teams during the estimation process.
- Maintain updated databases of material rates, labor costs, and vendor quotations.
- Assist in budget preparation, cost control, and value engineering activities.
- Review project variations and prepare cost impact analyses.
- Ensure estimates comply with company standards and applicable industry codes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 2–10 years of experience in civil cost estimation, quantity surveying, or tendering.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or building construction projects is preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
