Job Description:
Bloomingdale International School in Vijayawada is seeking a qualified and experienced DP Psychology Teacher and School Counselor to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of teaching and counseling experience and a strong background in Psychology.
Responsibilities:
DP Psychology Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in DP Psychology that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and inquiry.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary connections and enhance the learning experience.
- Stay updated with best practices and advancements in Psychology education.
School Counselor Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to students to support their academic, personal, and social development.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed, addressing issues such as academic stress and mental health.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a positive and supportive school environment.
- Develop and implement counseling programs and initiatives to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Stay informed about relevant counseling practices and resources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DP Psychology Teacher and/or School Counselor.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification and/or counseling certification/license.
- Strong understanding of DP Psychology curriculum and counseling techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and parents.
