We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects and corporate requirements. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase orders, material availability, cost control, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier network for construction and general materials.
- Source materials such as cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, hardware, HVAC, MEP, civil and finishing materials.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
- Negotiate price, quality, credit terms, delivery schedules and payment terms.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after proper approval.
- Ensure materials are purchased according to approved BOQ, specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with Project, Store, Accounts, Engineering and Management teams.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites/stores.
- Develop alternative vendors to reduce dependency and procurement risks.
- Maintain vendor master data, price history, quotation records and purchase documentation.
- Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost reduction and bulk purchasing.
- Ensure procurement follows company policies, approval limits and budgetary controls.
- Resolve issues related to short supply, damaged material, quality rejection and delayed delivery.
- Coordinate with Accounts regarding vendor invoices, payment status and outstanding balances.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on price, quality, delivery and service.
- Prepare periodic purchase reports, savings reports and pending PO reports for management.
Required Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills

- Understanding of BOQ and technical specifications
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel

- ERP/procurement software experience

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
