Job Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient with accounting software, and committed to delivering accurate and timely work.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
Prepare and file GST/HST, sales tax, or other indirect tax returns as required.
Record recurring and standard journal entries.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain accurate vendor, customer, and financial records.
Review employee expense reports and process reimbursements.
Generate financial reports for management.
Assist with audit and tax preparation by organizing supporting documentation.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant, CA finalist, Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes.
Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and time management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple clients or projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a public accounting firm or bookkeeping practice.
Payroll processing experience.
Knowledge of Canadian GST/HST or U.S. sales tax requirements.
Experience with cloud-based accounting applications and document management systems.

Work Mode: Shift timing - 8 hours. Match 4 hours with Eastern Standard time (10.30 to 2.

Shift Timing: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST
Timing Alignment: Canadian business hours
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
