Centre Manager at Sense International India
Sense International India (Sense India) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Centre Manager to lead our Kala Ghoda centre in South Mumbai. Our centre is dedicated to providing quality services and building capacity for children and adults with Deafblindness and Multiple Disabilities (Db/MD).
As a leader at Sense India, you will manage centre operations, guide a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the wider institutional strategy for the deafblindness cause.
Role Overview
- Job Title: Centre Manager
- Location: South Mumbai (Kala Ghoda)
- Contract: Full-time, renewable two-year contract (includes 6-month probation)
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday (2nd and 4th Saturday Weekly Off)
- Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Administration: Oversee day-to-day centre functioning, manage the budget in coordination with the head office, and ensure the availability of necessary facilities and equipment.
- Team Leadership: Guide and monitor staff to ensure high-quality intervention, plan work schedules, and evaluate progress.
- Student & Family Support: Support families in accessing government schemes and certifications, oversee the procurement of adaptive aids, and ensure regular student attendance.
- Strategic Growth: Network and advocate with government departments to influence disability policy, facilitate donor visits, and organize awareness programs to increase student enrolment.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed databases of staff and students, and prepare narrative performance reports for the Head of Programmes.
- Safeguarding: Implement and uphold Sense India’s safeguarding policies for children and vulnerable adults across all centre levels.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-4 years of working experience in the development sector; experience with disability programs is highly desirable.
- Communication: Strong written and spoken skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Interpersonal & Management: Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online platforms.
- Attributes: Proactive with a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to work without discrimination.

Pay: ₹13,944.35 - ₹46,918.65 per month
