Job Description – Surveyor (Construction Site)
Position: Surveyor
Industry: Construction / Infrastructure Projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct land and site surveys before and during construction activities.
- Establish and verify project control points, benchmarks, and reference lines.
- Carry out layout marking for buildings, roads, foundations, columns, utilities, and other structures as per approved drawings.
- Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS, and Theodolite.
- Measure and record distances, elevations, angles, and coordinates accurately.
- Prepare survey reports, contour maps, as-built drawings, and measurement records.
- Verify construction work dimensions and levels to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with project engineers, architects, consultants, and contractors for survey-related activities.
- Monitor settlement, alignment, and structural positioning during construction.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment and ensure proper handling.
- Ensure all survey activities comply with safety and quality requirements.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Total Station, AutoCAD, Auto Level, and surveying software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layouts.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and site practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or building projects.
Experience:
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
