Job Description – Manager, Strategic Initiives
Background: This role is part of the Direct Sales Force Channel within the Strategic Initiatives Team, focused on driving growth, adoption, and implementation of Digital and AI-led tools, processes, and interventions across the sales ecosystem. The role requires a strong blend of operational understanding, analytical capability, and stakeholder coordination to support business efficiency and digital transformation initiatives.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team as a Manager – Sales Operations Backend Analytics. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets, possess strong analytical skills, and have a good understanding of backend operational processes across the sales lifecycle — from lead creation to policy login.This role requires someone who is sharp with numbers, highly organized, eager to learn, and capable of taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
Manage and maintain large Excel-based datasets and trackers with high accuracy.
Perform basic to intermediate data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and operational insights.
Monitor and understand the complete sales/backend journey including lead creation, lead allocation, tracking, and policy login processes.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and MIS for leadership reviews.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve turnaround time.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Drive adoption and usage of Digital and AI initiatives across the Direct Sales Force Channel.
Capture and share field insights to improve digital interventions, user experience, and operational effectiveness.
Conduct trainings and awareness sessions for Digital and AI tools and initiatives.
Support implementation and monitoring of strategic projects related to sales operations and digital transformation.
Take ownership of assigned projects and demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Desired Skills Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data handling).
Good numerical and analytical ability.
Basic understanding of backend operations and sales processes.
Ability to work with data in a structured and detail-oriented manner.
Quick learner with a problem-solving mindset.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
Prior experience in operations, MIS, sales coordination, backend process management, or strategic initiatives will be preferred.
