Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in HVAC and Cleanroom systems for pharmaceutical, biotech, and industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for both design and estimation activities, contributing to project planning, cost estimation, and execution support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Engineering Develop HVAC system layouts, duct routing, and cleanroom designs.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Apply cleanroom standards such as ISO 14644 and GMP guidelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including estimation, procurement, and execution.
- Maintain design documentation, revisions, and drawing logs.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC and cleanroom projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs and develop BOQs.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Attend pre-bid meetings to understand project scope and requirements.
- Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations for cost evaluation.
- Incorporate historical project data for accurate estimation.
- Prepare proposals ensuring profitability and competitive pricing.
- Handle variation orders, extra items, and cost revisions.
Coordination & Support
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams for technical and commercialinputs.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Support project handover to execution teams with proper documentation.
- Track and report submittal and estimation status.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and cleanroom technologies.
- Experience in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and tendering Proficiency in AutoCAD (Cadmate knowledge preferred) Understanding of ISO, GMP, and cleanroom classifications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
