Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager with strong FMCG industry experience in both distributor management and direct sales operations. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, managing channel partners, and achieving revenue targets across assigned territories.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership, negotiation, and market execution skills with a deep understanding of FMCG sales dynamics.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution networks.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
Distributor Management
- Appoint, manage, and support distributors within assigned territories.
- Ensure distributor profitability and healthy stock movement.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales performance.
- Conduct regular distributor reviews and market visits.
Direct Sales Operations
- Handle direct sales to key retail outlets, wholesalers, and institutional clients.
- Build strong relationships with retailers and key customers.
- Ensure product availability and visibility across outlets.
- Execute promotional activities and trade schemes effectively.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
- Monitor field performance and provide coaching where necessary.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
Reporting & Market Execution
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and MIS updates.
- Track collections, outstanding payments, and credit control.
- Ensure proper implementation of company policies and sales processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in FMCG sales.
- Proven experience in distributor handling and direct sales.
- Strong understanding of retail market operations and channel sales.
