Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic TGT Social Studies & English Teacher to inspire students and create an engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate should possess excellent subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to the overall academic and personal development of students.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies and English to middle school students (Grades VI–VIII).
- Prepare and deliver engaging, interactive, and student-centered lesson plans.
- Use innovative teaching methods, educational technology, and activity-based learning.
- Assess students through assignments, projects, classwork, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Support students with different learning abilities through differentiated instruction.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation, critical thinking, and effective communication.
- Ensure classroom discipline while promoting mutual respect and responsibility.
Curriculum & Planning
- Follow the school's curriculum and academic calendar.
- Prepare worksheets, question papers, presentations, and teaching aids.
- Participate in curriculum planning and departmental meetings.
- Complete syllabus within the prescribed timeline.
Student Development
- Foster creativity, confidence, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Guide students in projects, debates, quizzes, literary activities, and exhibitions.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial assistance.
Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and school events.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and school administration.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and report cards.
- Participate in school assemblies, events, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- CTET/State TET qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience (Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply).
