Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented PLM & BOM Engineer with strong technical documentation skills to support global automotive projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in BOM management, part number creation, BIW engineering, and engineering documentation, along with exposure to PLM systems and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. BOM & Part Management
- Create, validate, and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for global vehicle programs
- Develop and manage new part numbers, ensuring alignment with engineering and production requirements
- Perform BOM audits and resolve discrepancies in coordination with cross-functional teams
- Support engineering change implementation (ECN/ECR) and ensure BOM updates reflect latest revisions
2. PLM & Documentation
- Develop, maintain, and control engineering documentation in PLM systems
- Create structured documents such as:
- Engineering manuals
- Process documents
- Part catalogs
- User guides
- Ensure documentation meets quality standards and global project requirements
- Translate complex engineering data into clear, user-friendly formats
3. Quality & Manufacturing Support
- Conduct quality checks on automotive components for dimensional accuracy and alignment
- Maintain inspection reports and support defect resolution activities
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth execution
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with teams including:
- Manufacturing
- After-sales
- Design & Engineering
- Catalog management
- Support multiple functions such as BOM creation and parts catalog editing simultaneously
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of BOM management and part lifecycle management
- Experience in PLM tools and engineering documentation
- Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes (BIW, welding, assembly)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in automotive OEM or engineering services

Job Title: DFMEA Moderator (Automotive / NPD)Location: Noida Experience: 2–5 Years Industry: Automotive / Tier-1 / Engineering Services
Job Summary
We are seeking a DFMEA Moderator with strong exposure to design validation, failure analysis, and NPD processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in DFMEA, DRBFM, APQP documentation, and cross-functional design reviews, along with a solid understanding of automotive components and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. DFMEA Moderation & Risk Analysis
- Lead and moderate DFMEA sessions with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Manufacturing)
- Identify potential failure modes, causes, and effects, and ensure proper risk prioritization
- Drive RPN reduction activities and track closure of action items
- Apply DRBFM methodology for design change risk assessment
2. Design & Validation Support
- Support design feasibility studies, design reviews, and concept validation
- Review and validate DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) and testing outcomes
- Ensure alignment between DFMEA, DVP, and validation test plans
- Participate in product testing, durability, and performance validation activities
3. APQP & NPD Documentation
- Prepare and review key APQP deliverables:
- DFMEA
- Control Plans
- DVP&R
- PPAP documents
- SOPs and BOM
- Ensure all documentation meets IATF 16949 and VDA standards
- Support engineering change management (ECN/ECR) activities
4. Failure Analysis & Problem Solving
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for design and validation failures
- Use quality tools such as:
- 7 QC tools
- Poka-Yoke
- Kaizen
- Drive corrective and preventive actions for design improvements
5. Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Design & R&D teams
- Testing & validation teams
- Manufacturing and quality teams
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders during NPD cycles
6. Product Engineering & Manufacturing Knowledge
- Apply knowledge of:
- Machined, sheet metal, and plastic components
- Automotive systems like suspension/shock absorbers
- Support prototype development, benchmarking, and BOM preparation
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in DFMEA & DRBFM methodologies
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DVP&R, Control Plans
- Understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience in design validation, testing, and failure analysis
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 / VDA standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD (preferred)
- Basic exposure to CAD / CAE tools
- SAP (basic knowledge)
Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in Design, Validation, or Quality (NPD environment)
Preferred Profile
- Experience in DFMEA, DRBFM, and NPD documentation
- Hands-on exposure to testing, validation, and DVP&R sign-off
- Strong involvement in prototype development and benchmarking
- Experience handling quality tools, audits, and engineering changes
- Ability to manage both design and testing responsibilities effectively
