About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation frameworks and API testing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing robust automation solutions, developing automated test frameworks, and ensuring software quality across complex enterprise applications and microservices architectures.
The role requires hands-on coding expertise and a strong automation-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Build and enhance test automation solutions using Test Café, Mocha, Chai, or similar frameworks.
- Validate REST APIs and backend services through automated testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.
- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test design, and automation strategy discussions.
- Drive automation best practices, framework enhancements, and quality engineering initiatives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation standards across projects.
Required Skills
Must Have
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Expertise in Test Café automation framework.
- Experience with Mocha and Chai testing frameworks.
- Strong experience in API and Microservices testing.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Strong coding and programming capabilities.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Pay: Up to ₹1,700,000.00 per year
