Job Title: Desktop Administrator

About the Role
You’ll handle the day-to-day IT support across systems, hardware, and user environments. The job is not glamorous, but it’s critical. If something breaks, people expect you to fix it fast and without excuses.
Key Responsibilities
User Support
- Provide first and second level technical support for employees.
- Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, VC systems, and office network issues.
- Set up new machines, install software, and configure user accounts.
- Resolve issues related to Windows OS, drivers, and basic application errors.
System & Asset Management
- Manage hardware inventory, tagging, allocation, and returns.
- Handle installation, upgrades, and patching for OS and standard tools.
- Monitor system performance and escalate issues that need deeper expertise.
Network & Security
- Basic troubleshooting of LAN, WiFi, switches, routers, and access points.
- Coordinate with the network/security team for escalations.
- Ensure data security policies are followed.
- Handle antivirus installation, updates, and scans.
Administration & Documentation
- Maintain logs of issues, resolutions, and asset movement.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes (email setup, system allocation, access changes).
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs or replacements.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in desktop support or IT admin.
- Strong skills in Windows OS, MS Office, email configuration, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple requests.
- Good communication skills and a sense of ownership.
Preferred
- Experience with MDM tools.
- Exposure to Google Workspace, O365, ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of Zoom, Teams, and office VC setups.
