Trainer – Assistant Electrician
Location – Dhanbad, Jharkhand
Job Summary
The Trainer – Assistant Electrician is responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training to candidates under various skill development programs. The trainer will conduct theoretical and practical sessions, assess trainee performance, maintain training records, and ensure candidates are industry-ready according to sector skill council standards.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Conduct classroom and practical training for Assistant Electrician trade.
- Deliver sessions as per approved curriculum, lesson plans, and qualification packs.
- Demonstrate electrical tools, equipment handling, wiring practices, and safety procedures.
- Ensure effective understanding of electrical concepts and practical applications.
Practical & Lab Management
- Maintain electrical lab equipment and training tools.
- Ensure safety standards and proper usage of electrical equipment.
- Conduct hands-on practical exercises and assessments.
Candidate Management
- Monitor trainee attendance, discipline, and progress.
- Provide mentoring and counseling support to trainees.
- Identify slow learners and provide additional support.
Assessment & Documentation
- Prepare training reports, attendance records, assessment sheets, and progress reports.
- Support internal and external assessments/certification processes.
- Maintain batch files and MIS documentation as per project guidelines.
Industry & Placement Support
- Coordinate with placement teams for trainee employability.
- Provide basic interview preparation and workplace readiness guidance.
- Support mobilization and counseling activities when required.
Required Qualification
- ITI Electrician / Wireman OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Certified Trainer qualification preferred
- Relevant Sector Skill Council certification preferred
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in electrical work/training
- Experience in vocational training or skill development programs preferred
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, tools, and safety standards
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to handle practical training sessions
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, online reporting, MIS)
- Classroom management and trainee engagement skills
