Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer for a large-scale residential/commercial construction project in Gurugram. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE practices across electrical and MEP site activities and ensuring compliance with project safety standards and applicable statutory requirements.
The role requires strong hands-on experience in electrical construction/MEP project safety, hazard identification, risk assessment, Permit-to-Work systems and site safety supervision.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE procedures and safety standards across electrical and MEP construction activities.
- Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
- Monitor safety during HT/LT electrical installation, cable laying, panel installation, transformer/DG-related activities, earthing and electrical testing/commissioning.
- Ensure proper implementation of Electrical Safety procedures, including isolation, LOTO and Permit-to-Work requirements.
- Monitor work-at-height activities, scaffolding, ladders, lifelines, safety harnesses and fall-protection systems.
- Ensure safe practices during material handling, lifting operations, shifting of electrical equipment and use of lifting tools/tackles.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) reviews for critical activities.
- Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for hot work, height work, electrical work and other high-risk activities.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, daily briefings and emergency preparedness drills.
- Inspect PPE, firefighting equipment, electrical tools, temporary power arrangements and other safety equipment.
- Monitor housekeeping, access/egress, barricading, signage and safe storage of electrical and construction materials.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss cases and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports, inspection records, permits and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and client safety teams to resolve safety observations.
- Ensure subcontractors follow project-specific HSE requirements and statutory safety regulations.
- Support emergency response, fire safety and evacuation procedures at the project site.
- Conduct regular safety audits and follow up on closure of safety observations and non-conformities.

Qualification & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) is mandatory.
