Position Title - Middle School Robotics Teacher
Position Summary
The Middle School Robotics Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging robotics, coding, and engineering lessons for students in grades 6–8. The teacher fosters creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking through hands-on projects, robotics competitions, and STEM-based learning activities.
Key Responsibilities Teaching and Instruction
- Design and deliver age-appropriate robotics and STEM curriculum.
- Teach robotics concepts, programming fundamentals, electronics, sensors, and engineering design processes.
- Introduce students to coding platforms and educational robotics kits.
- Create project-based learning experiences that encourage innovation and collaboration.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and skill levels.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
- Manage robotics equipment, tools, and classroom resources.
- Establish clear expectations for student behavior and teamwork.
Curriculum Development
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with school standards.
- Integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts into robotics instruction.
- Evaluate and update curriculum based on emerging technologies and educational best practices.
Student Assessment
- Assess student progress through projects, presentations, quizzes, and practical demonstrations.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and performance.
Extracurricular Activities
- Organize and mentor robotics clubs and competition teams.
- Prepare students for local, regional, or international robotics competitions.
- Coordinate STEM events, exhibitions, and showcases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Technology Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification (as required by local regulations).
- Experience teaching middle school students or working with youth programs.
- Knowledge of robotics platforms, coding, and STEM education.
