Job Title: HR Apprentice
Reports To: Lead- Human Resources
Job Status: Non-Exempt

Basic Job Functions:
The HR Apprentice will support the Human Resources team in executing key HR functions including compliance, HR operations, policy management, and HR process improvements.
This role offers hands-on exposure to core HR activities, HR analytics, and digital HR initiatives, while contributing to organizational goals and employee lifecycle management.
Education/Experience:
Master of Social work with Industrial Management / Industrial Relations / Labor Welfare or Master of Business Administration in HR awarded by any of the Institutions recognized by the Government of TamilNadu. (or)
A degree of Master of Labor Management or Bachelor of Labor Management awarded by the Tamil Nadu Institute of Labor Studies, Chennai or by any University. (or)
A Post Graduate Diploma or Diploma in Labor Administration or Labor Laws and Administrative Laws or Industrial Relations and Labor Welfare awarded by any of the Institutions recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Minimum 0 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources in any reputable manufacturing setup facility.
Required Skills/Competencies:
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office tools
Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
Digital & AI Awareness: Basic exposure to HR tech tools and AI-based HR solutions preferred
Analytical Ability: Strong attention to detail and data interpretation skills
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Essential Responsibilities:
Assist in Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) compliance activities and for implementation support.
Assist in statutory compliance activities and for the transition / implementation process including documentation.
Support drafting, reviewing, and updating HR policies, SOPs, and guidelines
Support for Apprentice compliance management.
Contribute to HR digitization and process automation initiatives, including support for implementation
Coordinate training programs and learning & development initiatives
Collaborate with the HR team on ongoing and new HR initiatives.
Prepare HR MIS reports and dashboards; analyse HR data and generate insights using Excel and Power BI
Prepare and maintain compliance reports for periodic monitoring (daily, weekly, and monthly)

No regular travel is required outside the First Solar work site.
