The Examination Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the examination process within the institution. This role ensures that examinations are conducted smoothly, securely, and in accordance with institutional policies and academic standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Examination Planning and Coordination: o Develop and implement examination schedules, including midterms, finals, and other assessments. o Coordinate with faculty, department heads, and administrative staff to ensure timely preparation and distribution of examination materials. 2. Examination Administration: o Supervise the preparation and secure storage of examination papers. o Ensure the smooth and fair conduct of examinations, including seating arrangements, invigilation, and adherence to examination protocols. o Address and resolve any issues or incidents that arise during examinations. 3. Security and Integrity: o Implement measures to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of examination materials. o Prevent and address instances of academic dishonesty or misconduct. 4. Result Management: o Oversee the timely and accurate marking of examination papers. o Manage the processing and release of examination results. o Handle requests for re-evaluation and grievances related to examination results. 5. Policy Development and Compliance: o Develop and update examination policies and procedures in line with institutional regulations and best practices. o Ensure compliance with all relevant academic standards and accreditation requirements. 6. Record Keeping and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of examination activities, results, and related documentation. o Prepare and present reports on examination outcomes, trends, and areas for improvement. 7. Communication and Liaison: o Serve as the primary point of contact for all examination-related inquiries. o Communicate examination-related information to students, faculty, and staff in a clear and timely manner. o Liaise with external bodies and agencies as required. 8. Continuous Improvement: o Identify opportunities for improving examination processes and practices. o Implement changes and innovations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of examination administration.
