Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to oversee end-to-end production activities, including planning, execution, vendor coordination, and quality control. This role is suited for individuals who can effectively operate in a dynamic, non-mass-production environment and manage complexity with a disciplined approach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Create daily and weekly production plans based on order priorities
- Break down products into process-level tasks (machining, fabrication, finishing, assembly)
- Allocate work across in-house teams and external vendors
- Ensure timely completion of all production stages
2. Shop Floor Management
- Supervise in-house production (lathe, milling, buffing, assembly)
- Assign tasks to operators and monitor productivity
- Identify bottlenecks and ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain discipline, safety, and process adherence
3. Vendor & Outsourcing Management
- Coordinate with external vendors (casting, polishing, plating, etc.)
- Share drawings, specifications, and quality expectations clearly
- Follow up on timelines and ensure on-time delivery
- Conduct regular vendor visits for quality and progress checks
- Resolve issues related to delays, rejections, or miscommunication
4. Quality Control
- Ensure all parts meet design specifications and finish standards
- Inspect components at various stages of production
- Identify defects and manage rework processes
- Maintain consistency across batches
5. Material & Inventory Management
- Track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
- Raise purchase requirements in advance
- Avoid stock-outs and overstocking
- Ensure material availability aligns with production plans
6. Cost & Efficiency Monitoring
- Track time and cost for each process
- Identify inefficiencies and cost overruns
- Suggest process improvements and better vendor options
7. Coordination with Design Team
- Understand product requirements, tolerances, and finishes
- Communicate feasibility challenges and suggest improvements
- Ensure design intent is maintained in final output
Skills & Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in production, preferably in metal or product manufacturing
- Experience in vendor management and outsourced production
- Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and finishing processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Proficiency in Excel or production tracking systems

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
