Job Summary
The Japanese Language Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality Japanese language instruction to students, faculty, and professionals. The trainer will develop learners' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while promoting an understanding of Japanese culture, business etiquette, and communication practices. The role also includes curriculum development, student assessment, academic mentoring, and supporting students preparing for internationally recognized Japanese language proficiency examinations.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging classroom and online instruction in Japanese language courses (Beginner to Advanced levels).
- Teach all four language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
- Conduct interactive sessions using modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
- Provide remedial coaching and personalized guidance to students requiring additional support.
Curriculum Development
- Design and update course content in line with international standards and learner requirements.
- Develop learning resources, worksheets, presentations, quizzes, and practice exercises.
- Integrate Japanese culture, traditions, business communication, and etiquette into the curriculum.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of language programs.
Student Assessment
- Conduct periodic tests, oral examinations, assignments, and project evaluations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain academic records.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized improvement plans.
- Prepare students for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT – N5 to N1) and other recognized certification examinations.
Student Support & Mentoring
- Mentor students interested in higher education, internships, or employment opportunities in Japan.
- Guide students in interview preparation and workplace communication.
- Encourage participation in language clubs, cultural activities, and competitions.
Cultural Activities
- Organize Japanese cultural events, workshops, seminars, and language exchange programs.
- Coordinate celebrations of Japanese festivals and promote cross-cultural learning.
- Support collaborations with Japanese universities, industries, and cultural organizations.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, academic records, and assessment reports.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and institutional activities.
- Assist in accreditation, documentation, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Perform other academic and administrative duties assigned by the department.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Japanese Language, Japanese Studies, Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or a related discipline.
- Japanese Language Proficiency Certification (JLPT N2 or N1 preferred).
- Teaching certification or relevant language teaching qualification is desirable.
- Prior teaching experience in a university, college, or language institute is preferred.
Desired Skills
- Excellent command of Japanese and English (knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach learners from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Familiarity with digital teaching platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of Japanese culture, society, and business etiquette.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate students and create an engaging learning environment.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in teaching Japanese language (preferred).
- Industry exposure or experience working with Japanese organizations will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
