Interoperability Consultant
Position Overview
The Interoperability Consultant plays a critical role in facilitating seamless data exchange between Provider organizations and Elevance through the development, implementation, and management of healthcare data interfaces.
Core Responsibilities-
Collaborate with Provider organizations and downstream ancillary system analysts to understand and develop business and functional interface requirements

Deliver to Provider and receive returned Elevance configuration documents

Submit all applicable connectivity tickets between Provider and Elevance Health via ServiceNow (SNOW)
-
Utilize available tools to analyze Provider data and provide gap analysis to translate business requirements into functional field-level specification requirements

Provide project management staff with comprehensive status reports regarding assigned projects

Collaborate with assigned developers to ensure understanding of specifications and validate accurate deliverables

Identify outlier testing scenarios and develop test plans for quality assurance

Participate with developers on interface validation prior to delivery to downstream systems

Remediate any issues identified by downstream systems and analysts prior to activation

Ensure compliance with all testing, documentation, and change management requirements

Monitor post-live interface performance until transition to support

Participate in team activities to develop, modify, and enhance standard specifications, processes, and training procedures
Required Qualifications
Minimum Experience:-
Healthcare Data Standards Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant experience reading and manipulating CDA (CCDA, C62, CCD) and FHIR transactions with interface engine output.

Hands-on experience working with CCDA files (Required).

Experience with FHIR resources, profiles, and implementation guides.

Communication Protocols:

Working knowledge of communication protocols and connectivity (VPN, SOAP, TLS, SFTP)

Transaction Sets:

Experience with FHIR resource types: Patient, Encounter, DocumentReference, Procedure, Observation, DiagnosticReport, Condition, MedicationStatement, etc
