Power Plant – Site Engineering Support [Static Equipments] shall be responsible for technical design & engineering for Inlet, Exhaust, Fire protection, Heating & Ventilation System, Skids, GT base frame, accy base, tooling & Enclosure for gas based power plant projects and coordinate with site, other engineering disciplines, customers & suppliers during project commissioning phase.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

Support NCR (Non-conformance case) during the installation and commissioning - Correction, Containment, Validation and Closure.

Support ER (site queries) during the installation and commissioning.

Support Supplier deviation requests (SDR) and Supplier Queries (RFI - Request for information) during manufacturing phase.

Create Field Modification Instructions (FMI) and Mod-Kits to resolve site issues.

Provide technical solutions for resolving the site issues for static equipment’s such as Gas turbine Inlet, Exhaust, Fire protection, Heating & Ventilation System, Skids, GT base frame, Accy base, tooling & Enclosure of power plant.

Support Product Support Leader (PSL) to improve SDR conversion rate to closed SDR Corrective Action per the bowler target.

Support PSL and Quality leader by creating the report to drive the Quality KPI across Mechanical COE.

Creating Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and measure effectiveness of CAPA actions.

Ensure that the design is per applicable rules, regulations codes and standards, respective GE Vernova design rules / work instruction, contractual requirement and per good engineering practices especially about environmental aspects and health and safety of site personal, operators, maintenance personnel and third parties,

Ensure a coordinated approach in all areas with the other engineering disciplines and support the Technical Team Leader / Technical Leader,

Participate to SAFER case studies and design reviews and ensure that corrective actions are closed on time,

Improve customer responsiveness by keeping project schedule, pro-active follow-up of supplier deviations, pro-active follow-up of field issues, timely close-out of ER/NCR; while feeding ERS database for generic cases,

Support project team by on-time response to customer document comments & questionnaires,
Work Experience
Required Qualifications
-
Mechanical engineering degree OR masters from well recognized university
-
2+ years of relevant experience
-
Gas based power plants experience with GE Vernova gas turbines is preferred.

Know and apply design methods, rules and tools to specify the systems/ components
-
Specific knowledge about the relevant codes and standards like ANSI, ASME, AMCA, ASHRE etc.
