About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification to join our India Finance team. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliations (bank, vendor, and intercompany)

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards

Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable regulations

Support internal and statutory audits by preparing schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring documentation is audit-ready

Prepare and review MIS reports, variance analysis, and management reporting packs

Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer collections

Assist with payroll accounting and related statutory filings (PF, ESI, PT, etc.) in coordination with HR

Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts and supporting documentation in line with company policy

Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls

Partner with the US team to support US GAAP accounting processes and month-end close activities
Requirements:
Required Qualifications & Skills
-
Chartered Accountant (CA) – qualified from ICAI (mandatory)

Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, GST, and Income Tax regulations

Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems)

Strong working knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with financial modelling and reporting tools is a plus

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills

Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

High level of integrity and professional ethics

Prior article ship or work experience in a corporate finance/accounts function
