Job Purpose
The Café Manager is responsible for the overall success of the café by ensuring exceptional customer experience, efficient daily operations, strong financial performance, and effective team leadership. The role requires complete ownership of sales, profitability, operational excellence, food safety, inventory, and people management while maintaining premium brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day café operations.
- Ensure opening and closing SOPs are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, ambience, and equipment.
- Ensure food and beverages meet quality standards.
- Monitor service speed and order accuracy.
- Resolve operational issues promptly.
2. Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise café staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Conduct daily team briefings.
- Monitor employee performance.
- Coach underperforming team members.
- Build a positive and disciplined work culture.
3. Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality.
- Handle customer complaints professionally.
- Build customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
- Monitor customer feedback and online reviews.
- Ensure consistent service excellence.
4. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly sales targets.
- Increase average bill value through upselling.
- Execute local marketing initiatives.
- Build corporate and community partnerships.
- Improve customer retention and footfall.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory levels and ordering.
- Conduct regular stock audits.
- Implement FIFO and FEFO practices.
- Reduce wastage and pilferage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
6. Financial Management
- Manage cash handling and POS operations.
- Prepare daily sales reports.
- Monitor Food Cost, Beverage Cost, Labour Cost, Gross Margin, and EBITDA.
- Control operational expenses.
- Ensure profitability targets are achieved.
7. Hygiene & Compliance
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and FSSAI regulations.
- Prepare the café for inspections and audits.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and preventive maintenance.

Preferred Experience
- 3–5 years in Café, Restaurant, QSR, or Hospitality Management.
- Experience leading teams of 10–30 employees.
- Knowledge of coffee operations and café management.
Educational Qualification
Graduate in any discipline (Hotel Management preferred).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
