Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in pharmaceutical formulations across domestic and international markets.
- Generate leads and acquire new customers for contract manufacturing, loan licensing, and private labeling opportunities.
- Develop and execute business growth strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Build a strong pipeline of potential clients and business partners.
Market Expansion
- Explore new markets, territories, and customer segments.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Evaluate market demand, pricing trends, and product opportunities.
- Support product portfolio expansion based on market requirements.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distributors, marketers, institutional customers, and healthcare organizations.
- Conduct business presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business retention.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
Contract Manufacturing & Strategic Alliances
- Drive third-party manufacturing and contract manufacturing business.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, supply contracts, and confidentiality agreements.
- Develop strategic partnerships with domestic and international pharmaceutical companies.
- Collaborate with regulatory and technical teams during customer onboarding.
Tender & Institutional Business
- Identify and participate in government, institutional, and healthcare tenders.
- Coordinate with internal teams for tender submissions and documentation.
- Manage relationships with institutional buyers and procurement agencies.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Production, QA, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
- Coordinate product registrations, documentation, and commercial launches.
- Ensure smooth execution of customer requirements and product deliveries.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Prepare business forecasts and sales projections.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, and customer performance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
- Achieve sales and collection targets.
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain CRM and customer databases.
- Prepare periodic business development reports for management.
- Track market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
Educational QualificationEssential
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field.
Preferred
- MBA in Marketing, International Business, Pharmaceutical Management, or Business Administration.
Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical business development.
- Experience in formulation business, contract manufacturing, licensing, or export markets.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth targets.
- Exposure to domestic and/or international pharmaceutical markets.
