Reporting To: Operations Manager / Supply Chain Head Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of Sports Nutrition Raw Materials, Packaging Materials (jars, labels, cartons, scoops, pouches, shippers, etc.), and general company requirements.
- Forecast material requirements based on sales projections, inventory levels, and production plans.
- Conduct market analysis, rate benchmarking, and vendor comparisons to ensure competitive sourcing.
- Source new vendors and maintain alternate supplier options.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQs, and supply agreements.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to ensure timely availability of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, and Finished Goods.
- Perform regular follow-ups with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify replenishment requirements.
- Track slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Raise Purchase Orders and maintain complete procurement documentation.
- Maintain and update procurement trackers including PO Master, Inventory Tracker, Vendor Master, RM Tracker, PM Tracker, Open PO Tracker, Rate Comparison Sheet, and Purchase Planning Sheets.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) projects by sourcing ingredients, packaging, and vendor quotations.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Warehouse, R&D;, Finance, and Sales teams for smooth procurement operations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports and procurement dashboards.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through vendor development, alternate sourcing, and packaging optimization.
Required Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Dashboards, Data Analysis).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
Experience in Sports Nutrition, Nutraceutical, FMCG, Food, or Pharma industries preferred. Key Performance Indicators
