Summary:
Responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable configuration item (CI) data. The role focuses on implementing CSDM standards, integrating CMDB with ITSM processes, and improving data quality through automation and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement CMDB classes and CI lifecycle management aligned with CSDM guidelines.
Maintain data integrity through auditing, cleansing, and governance processes.
Integrate CMDB with change, incident, problem, and asset management workflows.
Develop automation using ServiceNow Discovery, Orchestration, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide).
Collaborate with stakeholders to support operational needs and compliance requirements.
Generate reports and dashboards to monitor CMDB health and KPIs.
Required Skills:
4+ years of ServiceNow development experience with strong CMDB expertise.
Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer, and integration tools.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and CSDM framework.
Strong understanding of data governance and quality management.
Preferred:
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB.
Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all transition activities are aligned and executed effectively.
- Monitor progress and address any risks or issues that may impact the transition timeline or quality.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to maintain transparency and manage expectations.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and practices.
- Experience in managing service transitions and understanding of IT service management frameworks.
- Ability to analyze and resolve configuration data discrepancies within the database.
- Skilled in coordinating multiple workstreams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Competence in using ServiceNow tools to support configuration management and reporting.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
