Job Description
A BMS Wiring & Mounting Technician is responsible for installing, wiring, and integrating the Battery Management System (BMS) inside lithium-ion battery packs used in EVs. The role ensures safe electrical connections, proper mounting, and system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
1. BMS Wiring Work
Perform wiring of BMS boards, sensors, and connectors
Connect voltage sense wires, temperature sensors, and communication cables
Ensure proper cable routing, insulation, and termination
Follow wiring diagrams and SOPs accurately
Do continuity testing and short-circuit checks
Similar wiring/termination work is required in BMS technician roles, including cable pulling, dressing, and termination of devices
2. BMS Mounting Work
Mount BMS PCB securely inside battery pack housing
Fix busbars, connectors, and harnesses
Ensure proper spacing, insulation, and vibration safety
Follow mechanical drawings for battery assembly
3. Battery Pack Integration
Assist in battery module and pack assembly
Install BMS into lithium battery packs
Work with cells (LFP/NMC), wiring harness, and casing
Ensure thermal and electrical safety compliance

4. Testing & Quality Check
Perform:
Voltage testing
Continuity testing
Insulation checks
Support initial charging & BMS activation
Identify wiring faults and troubleshoot
5. Documentation & Safety
Follow SOP, work instructions, and safety norms
Maintain basic records of assembly/testing
Ensure proper handling of lithium cells (fire safety)
Qualification Required
ITI / Diploma in:
Electrical
Electronics
Mechatronics
Basic knowledge of:
Wiring diagrams
Multimeter use
Lithium battery safety
Skills Required
Electrical wiring & soldering
Crimping & harness assembly
Reading technical drawings
Basic EV battery knowledge
