Project Overview
We are looking for dedicated and result-oriented Domain Trainers for the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) skill development program in Patna. The ideal candidates will be responsible for training rural youth, ensuring high high-quality skill development, and preparing them for sustainable wage employment in the formal sector.
Role 1: Healthcare / Medical Assistant / Dresser Trainer
Core Focus: Delivering high-quality clinical and foundational nursing training to students enrolling in General Duty Assistant (GDA), Bedside Assistant, or Dresser programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive theoretical and practical training as per the Sector Skills Council (SSC) or NCVT curriculum.
- Train students in basic nursing procedures, wound dressing, patient hygiene, emergency care, and first aid.
- Maintain the healthcare lab, keeping medical instruments, mannequins, and clinical supplies organized for practical sessions.
- Evaluate student performance through regular assessments and prepare them for final third-party assessments.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in a hospital/nursing home or as a trainer in a healthcare skill development project.
- Certification: Prior ToT (Training of Trainers) certification from the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) is highly preferred.
Role 2: Fashion Designer / Apparel Trainer
Core Focus: Training candidates in garment construction, sewing machine operations, pattern making, and fashion design technology basics.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and theoretical lessons on sewing technology, pattern drafting, fabric cutting, and garment finishing.
- Guide students on the safe handling and basic maintenance of industrial sewing machines.
- Introduce concepts of commercial fashion design, hand embroidery, and basic merchandising standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the apparel laboratory equipment and tools are safely managed.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: ITI Degree / Diploma in Sewing Technology, Fashion Technology, or Garment Manufacturing Technology.
- Experience: 1–3 years of industrial experience in garment manufacturing or as a fashion trainer in a vocational setup.
- Certification: Prior ToT (Training of Trainers) certification from AMH-SSC (Apparel, Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council) is highly valued.
General Requirements for Both Positions
- Regional Fit: Fluency in Hindi and local dialects spoken in the Patna region to easily build rapport with rural trainees.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with DDU-GKY standard operating procedures (biometric attendance tracking, maintaining daily trainer diaries, assessment formatting).
- Soft Skills: Strong empathy, classroom management skills, and a passion for mentoring youth from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
