Senior Java Developer
The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications using Java and modern microservices architecture. The role focuses on building scalable REST APIs, event-driven applications, and cloud-native solutions while ensuring application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and industry best practices.
- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Implement caching solutions using Redis to improve application performance.
- Design and develop applications using MongoDB and SQL/MySQL databases.
- Develop and support Microservices-based applications.
- Deploy and maintain applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Apps.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and application optimization.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical design discussions.
- Follow secure coding standards, SDLC best practices, and CI/CD processes.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java and Java 8+ features.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka.
- Experience implementing Redis for caching and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
- Good knowledge of SQL/MySQL.
- Moderate experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Apps.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
- Good understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Azure Cloud services.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk.
- Familiarity with software design patterns and distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Azure or Java certifications are an added advantage.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
