Job Description: Project Manager (Lighting Solutions)
Role Overview:
The Project Manager for a lighting company is responsible for overseeing lighting projects from the conceptual design phase through to successful installation and commissioning. You will act as the primary point of contact between clients, architectural/design teams, internal engineering departments, and on-site contractors. Success in this role requires a blend of technical lighting knowledge, rigorous budget management, and strong stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scoping: Define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Conduct site surveys to assess lighting requirements, electrical constraints, and aesthetic goals.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, and general contractors to ensure the lighting design aligns with the overall vision and construction timeline.
Technical Oversight: Review and approve lighting layouts (e.g., AutoCAD/DIALux files), ensure compliance with building codes and energy standards, and manage technical specifications for fixtures and control systems (DALI, 0-10V, Wireless).
Procurement & Logistics: Manage the supply chain process, including product sourcing, lead-time monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery of fixtures to project sites to avoid delays.
Budget & Resource Management: Maintain project P&L, track expenses, manage sub-contractor costs, and ensure all work stays within the approved financial framework.
Quality Control & Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor installation quality, resolve on-site technical issues, and oversee final aiming and programming of lighting scenes.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project records, including submittals, change orders, punch lists, and operation/maintenance manuals.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per day
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Alipore, Kolkata, West Bengal
