Job Title: IT Trainer – DDU-GKY Project
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified IT Trainer to join our DDU-GKY skill development program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Information Technology and basic computer literacy training to rural youth. You will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of candidates by equipping them with the technical skills needed to secure sustainable employment in the modern job market.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery: Conduct daily theory and practical classes in IT/Computer applications in accordance with the DDU-GKY curriculum and NCVT/Sector Skill Council (SSC) standards.
- Domain Expertise: Teach topics including Basic Computer Operations, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet usage, Email etiquette, and introductory IT concepts.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct weekly/monthly internal assessments, evaluate practical assignments, and prepare candidates for final external third-party assessments.
- Lab Management: Oversee the IT lab, ensuring all computers, software, and internet connectivity are functioning properly. Maintain the lab inventory and logbooks.
- DDU-GKY Compliance: Strictly maintain daily biometric attendance, lesson plans, batch progress reports, and candidate portfolios as mandated by MoRD guidelines.
- Student Mentorship: Provide individual counseling, track student progress, and motivate rural youth to reduce course dropout rates.
- Placement Readiness: Collaborate with the placement team to conduct mock interviews, resume-building sessions, and workplace readiness training.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Graduation/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, BCA, B.Sc. (IT), B.Tech (CS/IT), or a certified O/A/B Level course from NIELIT.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience as an IT/Computer Trainer, preferably within government-sponsored skill development schemes (DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NULM, etc.).
- Certifications: Valid Training of Trainers (ToT) certification from the relevant Sector Skill Council (SSC) is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: High patience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect with and mentor students from rural backgrounds.
- Languages: Fluency in the regional local language and a working knowledge of English.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful batch completion and high pass percentage in external assessments.
- Strict adherence to DDU-GKY documentation and biometric compliance.
- Minimum student dropout rate during the training cycle.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
