We are looking for an experienced and performance-focused
Shopify Technical SEO & Speed Specialist with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Shopify website optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in technical SEO, Shopify theme optimization, Core Web Vitals, website speed optimization, and performance troubleshooting. You will be responsible for improving Shopify store performance, technical SEO health, organic search visibility, and overall user experience while working closely with developers, SEO teams, designers, and project managers.
- Optimize Shopify and Shopify Plus websites for speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals.
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and identify issues affecting organic rankings and website performance.
- Optimize Shopify themes, Liquid code, JavaScript, CSS, images, fonts, and third-party scripts.
- Improve Core Web Vitals metrics including LCP, INP, CLS, and TTFB.
- Identify and minimize the performance impact of Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
- Implement technical SEO best practices including meta tags, canonical tags, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, structured data, URL structure, and internal linking.
- Identify and resolve duplicate content, broken links, redirect, canonical, crawlability, and indexing issues.
- Optimize images, lazy loading, preloading, critical resources, fonts, scripts, and other front-end performance factors.
- Work with Shopify Liquid templates and theme architecture to implement performance improvements.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, Google Search Console, and Chrome DevTools.
- Perform before-and-after performance analysis and prepare optimization reports.
- Troubleshoot technical SEO and performance issues across desktop and mobile devices.
- Coordinate with developers, SEO specialists, designers, and other stakeholders to implement technical improvements.
- Stay updated with Shopify platform updates, Google algorithm changes, SEO best practices, and Core Web Vitals developments.
- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Shopify / Shopify Plus optimization.
- Strong understanding of Technical SEO and search engine crawling and indexing.
- Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid and Shopify theme architecture.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and basic DOM concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience optimizing LCP, INP, CLS, TTFB, JavaScript execution, CSS delivery, images, and web fonts.
- Experience identifying and resolving issues caused by Shopify apps and third-party scripts.
- Strong understanding of canonical tags, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, schema markup, redirects, structured data, and indexation.
- Experience with Google Search Console and website performance monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Shopify 2.0 themes and Online Store 2.0 architecture.
- Experience with SEO crawling and auditing tools such as Screaming Frog or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Git and version control systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BCA, MCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience optimizing multiple Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
- Experience working with high-traffic or international eCommerce websites.
- Experience with advanced JavaScript and front-end performance optimization.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience principles.
