Job Summary : We are looking for a skilled and responsible OT Technologist with 2–3 years of experience to support surgical procedures and ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of the Operation Theatre. The candidate will be responsible for OT preparation, surgical instrument handling, equipment management, infection control, and assisting the surgical and anesthesia teams during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled surgeries and ensure all required instruments, equipment, consumables, and medications are available.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures as required.
- Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Handle and maintain OT equipment, surgical instruments, cautery machines, suction apparatus, anesthesia equipment, and other related devices.
- Ensure proper surgical counts of instruments, needles, swabs, and other materials before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation as per the surgical procedure and hospital protocols.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of emergency equipment and supplies in the OT.
- Follow OT safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other clinical staff for smooth conduct of surgeries.
- Assist with shifting and transferring patients safely to and from the OT.
- Maintain OT registers, procedure records, sterilization records, equipment logs, and other required documentation.
- Monitor inventory of surgical instruments, consumables, and OT supplies and report shortages to the concerned authority.
- Follow biomedical waste management and safe disposal procedures.
- Assist with post-operative cleaning and preparation of the OT for the next procedure.
- Participate in regular audits, quality initiatives, and infection-control activities.
- Report malfunctioning equipment, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to the OT In-charge.
Required Qualifications :
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in an Operation Theatre, preferably in a multispecialty or tertiary-care hospital.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
