Job Summary:
The Welder is responsible for fabrication, welding, repair and maintenance of machinery structures, pipelines, support frames and other metal components used in the chilli processing unit. The role ensures proper maintenance and fabrication support for smooth factory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing welding and fabrication works for factory machinery, structures and equipment.
- Repairing damaged machine parts, frames, conveyors, pipelines and support structures.
- Carrying out gas cutting, arc welding and other welding activities as per production and maintenance requirements.
- Assisting in fabrication and installation of new machinery and factory modifications.
- Reading and understanding basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
- Ensuring welding quality, strength and finishing of fabricated components.
- Coordinating with fitters, electricians and maintenance teams during repair and installation works.
- Maintaining welding machines, tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Following safety procedures while handling welding equipment, gas cylinders and electrical tools.
- Maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of welding materials and consumables.
- Supporting emergency breakdown maintenance activities when required.
- Reducing downtime by attending fabrication and repair works promptly.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Arc Welding, Gas Welding and Fabrication works
- Ability to handle welding machines and fabrication tools
- Understanding of industrial maintenance and metal works
- Basic measurement and drawing reading skills
- Knowledge of welding safety practices
Qualification:
- ITI Welder / Fabrication Trade or relevant industrial experience.
Experience:
- Experience in factory, food processing or manufacturing industry preferred.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
