Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise the dining floor, lead the service team, and ensure guests receive exceptional hospitality. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and experience in restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant service operations.
- Lead, motivate, and guide service staff to maintain high service standards.
- Welcome guests and ensure an excellent dining experience.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Allocate tables and manage seating arrangements efficiently.
- Train new staff on service standards and restaurant procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Monitor inventory of service equipment and report shortages.
- Assist in opening and closing restaurant operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or Senior Steward.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of restaurant service standards and POS systems.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
- Experience with fine dining or casual dining restaurants.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
