Key responsibilities
Housekeeping & Sanitation
· Supervise in-house and outsourced housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness across OPD, wards, OTs, and common areas
· Plan daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and conduct regular audits
· Ensure availability of housekeeping consumables and manage stock
Security Management
· Oversee security personnel deployment, shift planning, and attendance
· Monitor CCTV systems and ensure access control protocols are followed
· Liaise with security agency for regular performance reviews and audits
Transport & Drivers
· Manage hospital vehicle fleet, driver scheduling, and log maintenance
· Ensure vehicles are serviced, insured, and roadworthy at all times
· Coordinate patient transport and staff pick-up/drop where applicable
Electrical & Power Systems
· Oversee all electrical maintenance including wiring, switchboards, lighting, and UPS systems
· Manage diesel generator (DG) operations, fuel procurement, load testing, and AMC
· Coordinate with electricity board (DISCOM/GHMC) for connection issues, billing, and inspections
· Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical areas like OTs and ICUs
Air Conditioning & HVAC
· Schedule preventive maintenance and servicing of all AC units (split, cassette, central HVAC)
· Coordinate with AMC vendors for timely repairs and gas refilling
· Monitor temperature and humidity in OTs and sensitive areas as per protocols
Lifts & Vertical Transport
· Ensure lift maintenance contracts are active and inspections are up to date
· Coordinate with elevator AMC vendor for breakdowns and preventive servicing
· Maintain lift safety certificates and statutory compliance records
Water Supply & Plumbing
· Ensure continuous water supply through municipal connection, borewells, and water tankers as needed
· Monitor water softener, RO, and purification systems for patient areas
· Manage plumbing maintenance and resolve leakage or drainage issues promptly
Biomedical Waste & GHMC / PCB Compliance
· Ensure proper segregation, storage, and disposal of biomedical waste as per CPCB/PCB guidelines
· Coordinate with authorised biomedical waste collection agencies for timely pickup
· Maintain waste disposal records, manifests, and consignment notes for regulatory audits
· Liaise with GHMC, PCB, and municipal authorities for trade licenses, NOCs, and inspections
· Ensure hospital premises comply with fire safety, building, and environmental regulations
General Administration
· Maintain AMC registers, vendor contracts, and service logs for all equipment and systems
· Prepare and submit daily/weekly maintenance reports to the Hospital Administrator
· Plan and manage annual maintenance budgets and control operational expenses
· Handle vendor negotiations, purchase requests, and coordination with the procurement team
· Respond promptly to emergency breakdown situations at any time
Qualifications & experience
· Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
· 1–3 years of experience in a facilities or maintenance role, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or commercial establishment
· Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, AC/HVAC, DG sets, lifts, and plumbing
· Familiarity with biomedical waste management rules and GHMC/PCB compliance requirements
· Experience managing housekeeping, security, and transport teams is preferred
· Basic proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
