Role Value Proposition
The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Mainframe development. With minimal guidance, they should be capable of designing and implementing complex solutions independently. Additionally, they should demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolve technological changes within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibility
1. Strong application development experience in design, coding, testing, and debugging using Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CICS, FileAid, Changeman, and AbendAid.
2. Write high quality code, conduct peer code reviews, and perform comprehensive testing to ensure reliable and maintainable software deliverables.
3. Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and coding skills.
4. Plan and execute multiple forms of testing, including unit, system, integration, regression, performance, and volume testing.
5. Manage all aspects of implementation planning and coordination across development and deployment phases.
6. Perform database and disaster recovery planning for multiple systems, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
7. Facilitate complex technical discussions and group meetings, including collaboration with business partners—for design, problem resolution, and implementation activities.
8. Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative, and autonomy in day to day responsibilities.
9. Demonstrate strong ownership, leadership, and drive by contributing innovative and effective technical solutions.
10. Mentor and guide peers, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous team improvement.
