Job Summary
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining beverage quality standards, managing staff, controlling inventory, and maximizing sales and profitability. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and excellent customer service skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesBar Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar.
- Ensure smooth and efficient bar service during all operating hours.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and local liquor laws.
- Monitor bar opening and closing procedures.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise bartenders and bar stewards.
- Prepare staff schedules and duty rosters.
- Conduct regular team briefings and performance evaluations.
- Motivate the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Ensure staff follow grooming and uniform standards.
Guest Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest complaints promptly.
- Build relationships with regular guests.
- Ensure cocktails and beverages are prepared according to standard recipes.
- Maintain high guest satisfaction ratings.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory checks.
- Minimize beverage wastage and control pour costs.
- Coordinate with purchasing for timely stock replenishment.
- Prevent stock shortages and product expiry.
Sales & Revenue
- Develop beverage promotions and special offers.
- Increase beverage sales through upselling techniques.
- Analyze sales reports and identify growth opportunities.
- Work towards achieving monthly revenue targets.
Financial Management
- Monitor daily bar sales and cash handling.
- Ensure accurate billing and POS transactions.
- Prepare daily sales reports.
- Control operational expenses and improve profitability.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain all required licenses and permits.
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Bartending or Beverage Management is an advantage.
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in bar operations.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or Bar Manager role.
- Experience in restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, or lounges.

Pay: ₹30,722.02 - ₹40,000.00 per month
