Job Summary
Sysmantech Group is looking for an experienced Laptop Service Engineer – Chip Level to join our technical service team.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge in laptop hardware troubleshooting, motherboard diagnosis and chip-level repair.
The selected candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing laptop hardware issues from component level to complete motherboard level, while maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair laptop hardware and motherboard-related issues.
- Perform chip-level troubleshooting and repair of laptop motherboards.
- Identify faulty components using circuit diagrams, schematics and boardview where required.
- Troubleshoot power-related, charging, display, USB, audio and other motherboard issues.
- Perform component-level testing and replacement.
- Work with components such as ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, coils, diodes and other SMD components.
- Troubleshoot short circuits and power rail issues.
- Perform BIOS-related troubleshooting and programming where required.
- Handle charging IC, power IC, EC/KBC and other motherboard-level faults.
- Perform soldering, desoldering and SMD component replacement.
- Diagnose issues using a multimeter, DC power supply and other electronic testing equipment.
- Handle laptop display, keyboard, battery, RAM, SSD, HDD, cooling system and other hardware replacements.
- Install and configure Windows, drivers and required software.
- Conduct complete testing and quality checks after repair.
- Maintain accurate job cards and technical service reports.
- Coordinate with the Service Advisor / Front Office regarding repair status.
- Ensure customer devices are handled safely and professionally.
- Complete repairs within the committed service timeline.
Required Technical Skills
Chip-level knowledge is mandatory.

Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years of practical experience in laptop servicing preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of chip-level laptop motherboard repair.
- Ability to independently diagnose motherboard-level faults.
- Good knowledge of laptop hardware and electronics.
- Ability to use electronic testing and repair tools.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to repair quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Good communication and professional behaviour.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma / B.Tech / BCA / Computer Hardware & Networking / Electronics or relevant technical qualification preferred.
Candidates with strong practical experience in chip-level laptop repair will be given preference even without a formal technical qualification.
Salary & Incentives
₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Salary will depend on technical expertise and experience.
Performance-based incentives available.

will be preferred.
What We Are Looking For
We are specifically looking for a technician who can diagnose the actual motherboard fault rather than simply replace complete boards.
The candidate should be confident in handling component-level and chip-level laptop repairs and should be capable of taking ownership of difficult technical cases.
