Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in Chemistry.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Demonstrate chemical concepts using models, technology, and experimental demonstrations.
- Assess and record students’ progress, provide grades and feedback, and maintain accurate student records.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an orderly environment.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Proven experience as a Chemistry teacher, with a strong track record of improving student learning outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of chemistry curriculum and the ability to teach students in grades 9-12.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to love learning chemistry.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- A professional teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
