We are looking for a Docketing Specialist who is responsible for providing IP docketing services to clients in US, Europe & Australia. The Docketing specialist will be part of a centralized IP team and will report directly to the Sr. Manager IP Operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for all aspects of Patent & trademark docketing for both US and Non-US jurisdiction
· Docket & De-Docket deadlines in IPMS along with uploading & linking of relevant documents in the respective matter
· Ensuring correct bibliographic information is updated, generating correct reminders so that the paralegals/attorneys are timely informed about actions due
· Identify key information in the client provided data; as per client’s instructions, enter it in the IPMS correctly
· Create new matters, update, and maintain docketing system as a single source of truth for IP assets (incl. invention disclosures, as-filed documents, correspondence (incl. outside counsel, patent offices), instructions, incoming correspondence etc.)
· Perform Quality Audits on the allocated documents as per client requirements within the allocated time
· Assist in the preparation and creation of reports
· Process allocated work as per client requirements and as per work instructions
· Report and describe docketing related queries to manager or client (if needed)
Preferred Background and Skills
· 1-2 years’ experience handling IP docketing.
· Proficiency in use of IP docketing platforms.
· Knowledge of filing and prosecution practices in the USPTO, PCT, EP, JP, CN and other major jurisdictions
· Data driven, detail-oriented individual.
· Champions continuous improvement to deliver and improve results.
· Ability to prioritize work and align priorities with stakeholders' needs.
· Ability to positively address change management.
· Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
