1. Core Duties & Responsibilities (Senior Level)
A. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Sell flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours, cruises, insurance, and ancillary services.
- Manage high‑value clients, corporate accounts, and repeat customers.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs consistently.
- Prospect and convert new leads through calls, emails, meetings, and networking.
B. Client Relationship Management
- Build long‑term relationships with corporate and retail clients.
- Provide expert travel consultation and destination guidance.
- Handle complex itineraries, multi‑destination trips, and special requests.
- Offer pre‑travel and post‑travel support to ensure client satisfaction.
C. Product Knowledge & Market Intelligence
- Maintain expert knowledge of destinations, airlines, hotels, tour operators, and travel regulations.
- Stay updated on visa rules, travel advisories, and global travel trends.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market opportunities.
D. Negotiation & Contracting
- Negotiate rates with suppliers (airlines, hotels, DMCs).
- Prepare professional travel proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Upsell and cross‑sell upgrades, insurance, and premium services.
E. Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with ticketing, operations, finance, and marketing teams.
- Ensure accurate bookings, payments, documentation, and invoicing.
- Resolve booking issues, cancellations, and amendments.
F. Reporting & Strategy
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Participate in sales planning, budgeting, and policy development.
- Mentor junior sales staff and support team development.
2. Required Qualifications & Experience
A. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or related field.
- Travel industry certifications (IATA, UFTAA, Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre) are an advantage.
B. Experience
- 3+ years of experience in travel sales or tourism.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Experience handling corporate accounts or international markets is highly valued.
C. Technical Skills
- Proficiency in GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
- Strong CRM skills (Salesforce or similar).
- Knowledge of travel booking platforms and supplier systems.
D. Core Competencies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to design complex itineraries and handle pressure.
- Market analysis and strategic planning capability.
- Multilingual ability is a plus (especially English, Hindi).
B. Incentive on Sales & Profit Generated
This is the most important part of the remuneration for senior sales roles.
1. Sales-Based Incentive
Incentive is calculated on:
- Total monthly sales and profit
- Number of tickets issued
- Value of holiday packages sold
- Corporate account conversions
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
