Hyperlocal Operations Manager – Last Mile Logistics

Job Summary:
The Hyperlocal Operations Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end last-mile operations, key account coordination, vehicle sourcing, vendor management, cost optimization, SLA adherence, team handling, and ensuring smooth execution of hyperlocal delivery operations. The role requires strong operational expertise, customer management skills, and the ability to drive service excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
1. Hyperlocal Operations Management
* Manage end-to-end hyperlocal and last-mile delivery operations across Bangalore.
* Ensure timely vehicle deployment and smooth execution of daily delivery requirements.
* Manage DCD and Non-DCD movements as per customer requirements and operational plans.
* Monitor SLA adherence, TAT performance, and operational efficiency.
* Resolve day-to-day operational challenges and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
2. Key Account & Customer Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure service satisfaction.
* Understand customer requirements and ensure effective execution through operations teams.
* Handle customer escalations and provide timely resolutions.
* Identify opportunities to improve service quality and increase business volumes.
3. Vehicle Sourcing & Vendor Management
* Develop and maintain a strong vendor network for last-mile vehicle requirements.
* Manage sourcing of different vehicle types including small commercial vehicles, LCVs, and heavy vehicles.
* Ensure vehicle availability, compliance, and operational readiness.
* Negotiate vendor rates and manage cost-effective transportation solutions.
* Monitor vendor performance and build long-term vendor partnerships.
4. Cost Control & Profitability Management
* Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
* Monitor vendor payouts, route costs, and vehicle utilization.
* Optimize resources to improve Gross Profit (GP) and reduce operational costs.
* Analyze operational performance and implement cost improvement measures.
5. POD, Billing & MIS Management
* Ensure timely collection and submission of PODs from vendors and customers.
* Coordinate with finance teams for timely billing and payment closure.
* Prepare and maintain daily/weekly/monthly operational MIS reports.
* Track key metrics including volume, cost, SLA performance, delivery status, and vendor performance.
* Provide operational insights and reports to management for decision-making.
6. Team Management & Process Improvement
* Lead, train, and manage the hyperlocal operations team.
* Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
* Ensure compliance with company SOPs, processes, and operational standards.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality.
Essential Skills:
* Strong knowledge of hyperlocal and last-mile logistics operations.
* Hands-on experience in vehicle sourcing, vendor development, and fleet management.
* Strong customer handling and management skills.
* Experience in cost optimization, rate negotiation, and improving operational margins.
* Ability to manage teams and handle high-volume operations.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and MIS reporting skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,500.00 per month
